The Silver Pig Restaurant and Bar now serving customers in downtown Howell

(WXYZ) – A new restaurant and bar recently opened its doors in downtown Howell. It’s called The Silver Pig, and it’s located at 102 S. Michigan Ave.
The eatery has a 20-seat craft cocktail bar, brick over pizza, fresh oysters shucked to order flown in daily from all over the world, bar plates and snacks and desserts made from scratch.

Devils on Horseback
serves 4 people.
Product needed:
12 each Medjool Dates (un pitted)
2 ounces Gruyere Cheese
4 each Bacon slices (not thick cut)
½ cup Devils Vinaigrette
Preparing:
Cut the Gruyere cheese into small matchstick size pieces. And place 1 piece inside of each date. Cut each bacon slice into 3 equal size pieces. Wrap the bacon around the date and bake in the oven at 400 degrees ferinheight for 15 minutes or until bacon starts to look crispy. Place the bacon wrapped dates on a serving plate and pour the devils vinaigrette over the top. Serve warm.
The dates can be par baked the day before. Bake them for only 12 minutes and just before serving place them back in the oven to heat up for 5 minutes.
Devil’s Vinaigrette ( 1 cup)
1/3 Shallot (minced)
1 Tbl Fresh lime juice
1Tbl Fresk lemon juice
1/2 Tsp Kosher salt
3 Tbl Cilantro (rough chopped)
2/3 cup Olive Oil
Preparing:
1. Mix all ingredients together in small bowl.
* (Mixture can last up to 4 days in refrigerator)
